Dear Friends,

Thanks so much for coming to our blog page.  I am not good at writing regualry, but it looks like I am going to have a bit more sitting time.  Talking about my health problems is difficult to me.  Most of you know that I have psoriatic arthritis.  I had a heart attack about 12 years ago.  They put three stents in and later realized that the increased chest pain and the heart attack were actually caused by the stents.  I don’t have classic arthrosclerosis, I have vasospasm.  But unfortunately the stents are beginning to close off.  My cardiologist has scheduled bypass surgery for Good Friday.  I am having a catherization today at 2:30 PM to see if any other vessels also need repaired.  I will try to keep you informed but if I am unable to write please feel free to call our cells.

I am so overwhelmed by your positive encouragement.  As is any trial this makes us think a lot about our own mortality. I know that God has a plan for each of us, and I don’t feel that He has released me from our mission work in Sierra Leone.  I also know that he is with me and will not leave me.  But if I am honest I am a bit fearful. Partly for myself, but mostly for my husband, family and friends who I do  n’t want to leave. I would appreciate your prayers over this Easter season.

God bless you and your families as you celebrate the wonderful miracle of Easter and our risen Lord.

Still in His service,

Karen
